Flu Rates Rise in LA County Amid COVID-19 Concerns

LA County’s flu rates have surged, with 10.8% of specimens testing positive for the flu as of Dec 7. This marks a significant increase from previous weeks. Meanwhile, RSV cases also rose to 6.4%, but COVID-19 remains a concern, with 83 deaths identified since Sept 29.

The LA County Department of Public Health urges anyone six months old and above to get updated vaccines against flu, RSV, and COVID-19. Due to shared symptoms like fever and cough, testing is crucial to confirm a diagnosis between COVID-19 and the flu.
