Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been put through an extreme test – live-folding the device 200,000 times. A Korean YouTuber, part of the tech-it YouTube channel, is manually folding and unfolding the phone to see how it holds up.
The experiment aims to simulate real-world usage and has already reached under 150,000 folds with no visible damage. The device’s display, rated by Samsung Display as capable of surviving 500,000 folds, appears to be working perfectly fine so far.
While the goal is not close to reaching its limit, it raises questions about the durability of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The YouTuber plans to complete the test at a rate of 40,000-50,000 folds per day.
