Researchers have identified two food additive mixtures associated with a higher incidence of type 2 diabetes, regardless of diet quality or lifestyle factors. The study, published in PLOS Medicine, analyzed data from over 100,000 adults and found that certain combinations of additives in ultra-processed foods can increase the risk of developing the disease.
