Russian model and former Miss Universe contestant Kseniya Alexandrova has died from severe brain injuries sustained in a car accident involving an elk. The 30-year-old suffered a head injury when the animal crashed through her Porsche’s windshield, causing fatal damage to her brain.
Alexandrova was driving with her husband on the M-9 highway in Tver Oblast, Russia, when the collision occurred. Her husband described the incident as “freak” and said they were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. The couple had been married for just four months before the tragic event.
Alexandrova was a psychologist who earned her degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University and represented Russia in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant, where she placed second in the Miss Russia competition. Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed her death on August 13, describing her as “bright” and “talented.”
