Former NFL Star Randy Moss Stands in Support of Cancer Battler Carl Lee

Former NFL players Carl Lee and Randy Moss have expressed their support for each other as they navigate the challenges of cancer.

Randy Moss, a Marshall University star and three-time Pro Bowl defensive back, recently revealed his cancer diagnosis on Instagram. Moss has been in the news lately due to his appearance on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, where he features athletes making spectacular catches.

Carl Lee, a 12-year veteran and Hall of Fame cornerback, says Moss is in his prayers and expresses gratitude that he discovered his cancer early.

Lee believes it’s hard for people like Moss, who are used to success on the field, to be touched by the disease. However, he praises Moss’ bravery in addressing male followers about the importance of regular check-ups and not delaying medical attention.

Moss, 47, played for Marshall University from 1996-97 and was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 1997. He went on to have a Hall of Fame career with the Minnesota Vikings, playing for seven seasons before returning to the team in 2010.

Lee believes Moss’ words about male health need to be spread and acted upon. He praises Moss as a role model who is using his experience with cancer to coach others through life.

Moss will continue to appear on Sunday NFL Countdown, where he will say that phrase one more time – “You got Mossed” – which has become iconic in the world of sports.
