A scathing internal affairs report has released former Sgt. Sean Goode from his duties as a police officer in Canton, Massachusetts. The report details a decade-long span of racist messages sent by Goode to various ethnic groups and protected classes, including Black people, Asian Americans, Hispanic individuals, Jewish communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those with disabilities. These slurs and demeaning terms led town officials to issue a warning, stating that the language is “horrific” and warrants permanent disqualification from serving as a police officer in Massachusetts or elsewhere. The report also found Goode had discussed sleeping on the job, encouraged bribes, and shared sensitive information with acquaintances.
