Fortnite Ballistic Launches Dec 11, 2024 – Competitive 5v5 First-Person Shooter

Epic Games’ new first-person, round-based competitive game mode, Fortnite Ballistic, is set to launch in Early Access on December 11, 2024. The game promises “strategy, tactical teamwork, and individual prowess” with two teams competing to plant a reality-tearing Rift Point Device or stop the other team from doing so.

In Fortnite Ballistic, players will be split into Attackers and Defenders, with no respawns during rounds. Victory is achieved when the device explodes (45 seconds after planting) or either team is wiped out. Players will earn Credits by killing opponents or planting the Rift Point Device, which can be spent on weapons and items.

The game features five Flex Gadgets that players can purchase and use during a match, including a Proximity Mine, Bubble Shield, Recon Grenade, Frag Grenade, and Impulse Grenade. These gadgets offer unique abilities to surprise opponents, provide temporary shields, mark enemies, or disrupt the battlefield.

Fortnite Ballistic will start with only one map, Skyline 10, and will include Unranked and Ranked modes at launch. In Ranked mode, players will be matched based on their average rank within a party, and the amount of rank earned in a match will be determined by rounds won, lost, eliminations, and assists.

The game arrives just after the launch of Fortnite OG and an epic event featuring Juice WRLD, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Snoop Dogg.
