Framework Unveils Affordable, DIY Desktop PC Powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max Processors

Framework has officially entered the desktop PC market with its DIY mini desktop PC powered by AMD’s new “Strix Halo” Ryzen AI Max processors. The company has been working on this project for two years and is now ready to unleash its creation, which promises to deliver exceptional performance at an affordable price.

The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor is a game-changer in the chip industry, offering groundbreaking graphics performance for a processor with a built-in GPU. This allows users to enjoy high-quality gaming at 1080p and 1440p resolutions without needing a separate dedicated GPU.

Framework’s desktop PC is designed to be highly customizable, with options such as different case colors, RGB fans, and expansion cards. The system also supports both Windows 11 and Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

The base model starts at $1099 for an 8-core Ryzen AI Max 385 processor, while the top-end version features the more powerful Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and up to 128GB of memory. Framework is also selling standalone Ryzen AI Max mainboards, starting at $799, which can be used in any compatible case.

With its compact size and impressive performance capabilities, the Framework desktop PC is an exciting addition to the DIY PC market. Preorders are now live, and shipping is expected to begin in early Q3.
