France has denied allegations of a humanitarian blockade in Gaza, calling them a “blatant lie.” The Israeli Foreign Ministry made the statement on Twitter after French President Emmanuel Macron criticized Israel’s stance on the issue.
According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, nearly 900 aid trucks have entered Gaza in the past week, with hundreds more ready for UN collection and distribution. Additionally, the Gaza Humanitarian Fund has provided Gazans with two million meals and tens of thousands of aid packages.
The ministry claimed that direct aid distribution to Gazans has “already changed the situation on the group.” However, it accused Macron of seeking to reward Hamas with a Palestinian state instead of applying pressure on the jihadist terrorists.
Meanwhile, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir criticized Macron’s statements, warning that Islamic terrorism will explode in the faces of all French citizens.
A recent development suggests that aid distribution is disrupting Hamas’s control over food distribution in Gaza. The American-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has established two aid centers, with a third expected to open soon.
French President Macron has stated that France may impose sanctions on Israel if the alleged blockade continues. He reiterated his commitment to a two-state solution to resolve the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
France stands behind a two-state solution, with Macron aiming to recognize a Palestinian state in June. The country’s foreign minister will co-host a UN conference alongside Saudi Arabia to discuss this topic.
