France To Pursue Release Of French-Israeli Hostages

France’s foreign minister Jean-Noel Barrot has vowed to continue fighting for the release of two French-Israeli hostages, Ofer Kalderon and Ohad Yahalomi, who are among a list of 33 expected to be freed under a new Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal.

Hamas released three Israeli hostages on Sunday as part of the ceasefire, which suspends a 15-month-old war in Gaza that has caused widespread devastation. The news comes after Israel released 90 Palestinian prisoners.

France and Israel agreed to a ceasefire deal that includes the release of hostages, but no information is available on their current health status or detention terms.
