Free Battery Replacement for Pixel 4A Owners After ‘Vampire’ Update

Google is offering free battery replacements for owners of its Pixel 4A phone after a recent update. The Android 13 update, which rolled out on January 8, is expected to cause devices to hold their charge for shorter periods. Affected users will notice changes in battery life, such as taking longer to reach full charge or the battery-level indicator showing lower capacity. To qualify for the free replacement, users must visit a Google Store location and provide proof of purchase. Eligible owners can also receive $100 in store credit towards another Pixel device or $50 in cash. However, not all devices are impacted by the update, and users can check their eligibility by entering their IMEI number on the Google website.
