Fortnite and Rocket League are teaming up for their second annual Summer Road Trip event. From July 22 to August 4 in Rocket League, and August 7 in Fortnite, players can earn a free skin, a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 car body, and Red Hot Chili Peppers jam track by playing both games.
In Fortnite, players will receive new quests each day to gain XP while in a party. These quests unlock rewards such as the “Zephyr Song” song, sprays, emoticons, a high-quality wrap, and a rubber ducky pickaxe. To earn the Corvette, players must complete eight quests.
Rocket League’s event is split into two halves with most of the quests and rewards available on the first day. Players can unlock the Fortnite skin “Hairpin” by making 15 saves in Rocket League or playing a private match with mutators.
The Summer Road Trip has more rewards than last year but less controversy. This year, players will receive exclusive items that can only be used in one game, such as the glider and skin in Fortnite. Most rewards will likely end up in the item shop after the event ends.
Additionally, Fortnite’s new Fantastic Four skins and shoes will arrive on Friday.
