A former surgeon in France has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting over 300 people, mostly children. The victims included those under anesthesia at the time of abuse, with their average age at the time of abuse estimated to be around 11 years old. Joël Le Scouarnec, 74, faced the charges stemming from his decades-long career as a doctor.
