Two high-ranking officials from France’s National Rally party have hinted at ousting Prime Minister François Bayrou, just four months after supporting his predecessor Michel Barnier. Jordan Bardella and Sébastien Chenu made their comments in separate interviews, citing Bayrou’s supposed failure to address key issues such as lowering energy prices and adopting a proportional voting system. The move comes after Marine Le Pen was barred from running for president following her conviction on embezzlement charges.
