Frito-Lay Recalls Lay’s Potato Chips Due to Undeclared Milk Allergen

A limited number of popular potato chip bags from Frito-Lay have been recalled due to an undeclared milk allergen, according to the FDA. The affected 13-ounce bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips were distributed in Oregon and Washington.

Consumers are advised to check their bags for a “Guaranteed Fresh” date reading “11 FEB 2025,” and a manufacturing code of either 6462307xx or 6463307xx. If they find these codes, they should discard the product due to milk allergies.

Frito-Lay has stated that no allergic reactions have occurred so far, but warned consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk that consuming the recalled product could lead to a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The recall affects approximately 6,344 bags and was triggered by a consumer alert about undeclared milk. The company has assured customers that no other Lay’s products are affected by this recall.
