The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued recalls for over 10,000 pounds of pork products in four states. The recalls involve two companies: Impero Foods & Meats, Inc., which is recalling nearly 7,500 pounds of raw pork sausage due to lack of federal inspection, and Ralph’s Packing Company, which is recalling approximately 3,132 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef bologna products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
Impero Foods & Meats, Inc. is recalling Old World Italian Sausage links and ropes produced between October 3rd and December 19th, 2024. The recalled items have the establishment number “EST. 10827” and were distributed to restaurants and retail stores in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Consumers who purchased these products are urged to discard or return them due to a high-risk situation.
Ralph’s Packing Company is recalling its Garlic Bologna and Garlic Bologna with JalapeƱos products, produced since September 2022, due to mislabeled ingredients. The recalled items have the establishment number “EST. 51557” and may still be stored in freezers or refrigerators. Consumers are advised not to consume these items and to discard or return them.
FSIS warns consumers to double-check their purchases, especially if they’ve recently bought pork sausage or bologna products, to avoid potential risks.
