Fujifilm has announced the Instax Wide Evo Hybrid instant camera, a new addition to its Instax line that combines the features of a smartphone printer. The camera is designed to work with Instax’s Wide format instant film, producing prints that are twice as wide as traditional Instax Mini prints.
The Instax Wide Evo will be available starting in February 2025 for $349.95 and comes with a matching black case for $49.99. A new version of Fujifilm’s Instax Wide instant film featuring a brushed metallic border effect is also available at $24.99 for a 10-pack.
The camera features a 15.67mm lens, allowing for wide-angle shots that capture more of the scene. It also includes a 3.5-inch LCD display on the back for framing and navigating menus, as well as a small mirror on the front for taking selfies.
One of the standout features of the Instax Wide Evo is its ability to print images from a smartphone wirelessly over Bluetooth. Users can print images directly from their phone’s camera roll or use their phone as a wireless remote to capture group shots without a timer.
The camera offers 10 lens effects, 10 film effects that can be combined in pairs, and the option to adjust effect intensity using a Degree Control ring on the lens. It also features five additional film style customizations for photographers looking for a retro look or unique effects.
Overall, the Instax Wide Evo is designed to provide photographers with a new way to capture and share images, combining the best of instant photography with smartphone printing capabilities.
