Gabbard Suggests Changing PDB Briefings to Capture Trump’s Attention

US Director of National Security Tulsi Gabbard is proposing a drastic change to President Donald Trump’s daily intel briefings, suggesting they be presented in a more broadcast-like format with animations and multimedia elements. This shift aims to hold Trump’s attention and fit his viewing habits.

According to sources, Gabbard has consulted with current and former intelligence officials on bringing in a Fox News producer and host to reshape the President’s Daily Briefs (PDBs). The PDBs are typically text and image-based due to national security concerns, but Gabbard wants to make them more engaging for Trump.

Critics of the proposal, including White House Spokesman Davis Ingle and Director of National Intelligence Press Secretary Olivia Coleman, have dismissed it as “libelous garbage” and “fake news.” They argue that President Trump has a world-class intelligence team and receives real-time updates on national security issues.

The PDBs are crucial decision-making tools for sitting presidents, but Trump has taken them only 14 times since May. His predecessors, Joe Biden and Barack Obama, averaged more frequent briefings.

In the past, Trump’s PDBs were simplified to a one-page outline presented verbally by an intelligence official twice a week in his first term. Despite this, intelligence officials struggled to educate him, with “only limited success.”
