Gal Gadot Opens Up About Life-Threatening Blood Clot Diagnosis During Pregnancy

Gal Gadot, the Wonder Woman actress, has spoken out about a terrifying health crisis she experienced while pregnant with her fourth child. The 39-year-old detailed her ordeal in an Instagram post on Sunday, revealing that she was diagnosed with a massive blood clot in her brain during her eighth month of pregnancy.

Gadot shared that she had been experiencing excruciating headaches for weeks before undergoing an MRI that revealed the shocking truth. She was rushed to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and also gave birth to her daughter Ori, now 9 months old, during the procedure in March.

The actress praised the “extraordinary team of doctors” at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles who helped save her life. She urged people to listen to their bodies and take heed of any pain or discomfort. Gadot emphasized that being attuned to one’s body can be lifesaving and encouraged others to seek medical attention if they experience similar symptoms.

Gadot hopes to empower her fans by sharing her personal experience, rather than frightening them. By opening up about her diagnosis, she aims to raise awareness about the importance of early identification and treatment of blood clots in pregnant women, particularly those over 30 years old.

The actress initially announced the birth of her fourth child on Instagram in March but did not disclose the medical crisis at that time.
