Gal Gadot Opens Up About Snow White Failure and Personal Struggles

Gal Gadot, the Wonder Woman actress, has finally broken her silence on Disney’s commercial failure of Snow White. During an appearance on Israeli TV show The A Talks, she expressed her disappointment with the movie’s poor performance at the box office.

Gadot revealed that despite having a positive experience working alongside co-star Rachel Zegler, she had expected the film to be a huge hit. However, the pressures of the recent global conflict and social media scrutiny made it challenging for celebrities to express their opinions on Israel, which affected the movie’s box office performance.

The actress also opened up about her personal life, including her emergency brain surgery in March 2024 and her struggles with loneliness during filming. She revealed that she felt isolated despite being surrounded by her family while working on a different project in London.

Gadot discussed how her experience wearing a yellow ribbon pin to the Golden Globes red carpet sparked controversy among Israelis. She clarified that her decision not to wear the pin was due to the complexities of collaborating with brands and the need to prioritize her work.

The actress also talked about her breakout role in Wonder Woman, where she revealed that Chris Pine received more pay than her, and her biggest career regret – guest-starring on HBO’s Entourage in 2009. She expressed her gratitude for being cast in projects despite not having a conventional acting experience.

Gadot concluded by stating that she believes she is a solid actress but acknowledges that there are those who may be more talented. She emphasized her willingness to work hard and overcome obstacles, which has been a key factor in her success.
