Galaxy Z Fold 7 Durability Test: Surprising Results After 200,000 Folds

Samsung’s latest foldable flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, boasts a remarkable durability rating of up to 500,000 folds, twice the number of its predecessors. But can it withstand real-world usage? A YouTuber named Tech-it put the phone through an extraordinary test by manually folding it over 200,000 times.

The results were surprising: after just 6,000 folds, the phone started experiencing issues, including reboot errors and creaking noises around the hinge. These problems persisted, with the device’s speakers failing to work at 175,000 folds. The most alarming issue was an unknown black liquid leaking from the hinge at 75,000 folds.

What’s more concerning is that these problems occurred before reaching the phone’s listed durability limit of previous Z Fold devices. This raises questions about how many other issues might arise before the phone reaches its supposed maximum lifespan.
