Game Shows Jeopardy! & Wheel of Fortune Coming to Streaming This Fall

Game shows “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” will finally be available on streaming platforms after a multi-year deal with Sony Pictures Television. Starting this fall, Hulu (including Disney+) and Peacock will stream episodes of the two popular game shows. Viewers will be able to watch new episodes the day after they air on broadcast TV, as well as past episodes featuring hosts Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White, and Ken Jennings.

This deal marks the first time in-season syndicated episodes will be available on national streaming platforms. Library episodes of the shows will also be added, enhancing the viewing experience for audiences. Sony Pictures Television chairman Keith Le Goy expressed excitement about bringing the game shows to a wider audience.

However, this deal comes as Sony and CBS are embroiled in a legal feud over syndication rights. The company claims CBS failed to distribute “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” in local markets as promised, leading to unauthorized broadcasts overseas. The streaming deal may impact how the game shows air in the future.

The availability of the game shows on Hulu and Peacock could lead to them airing on a single channel across the US and overseas. Fans can now expect to watch their favorite game shows without waiting for broadcast TV or relying on cable networks like Game Show Network.
