GameStop Announces Price Hikes for Xbox Gaming Products

GameStop has announced significant price hikes for Microsoft’s Xbox gaming products, including consoles, controllers, headsets, and first-party games. The price of the Xbox Series S and Series X consoles will increase, as well as those of controllers and headsets.

First-party games will now cost $79.99, a jump from the industry standard price of $59.99. GameStop acknowledges that these price changes may cause difficulties for its customers and offers pre-owned products to help alleviate the increased costs.

The news follows Nintendo’s recent announcement of the Switch 2 console, which is priced at $449.99 with games ranging from $69.99 to $79.99. Accessories such as the Pro Controller, Dock Set, and All-In-One Carrying Case will also be more expensive.

GameStop remains committed to helping customers get the most value for their money, offering trade credits, rewards programs, and pre-owned deals.
