Garmin Unveils Instinct 3 Smartwatches with Long-Lasting Battery Life

Garmin has announced the latest additions to its popular Instinct smartwatch series, which prioritizes battery life and offers various display options. The new Instinct 3 models have been showcased at CES 2025, featuring improved solar charging technology that extends battery life in sunny conditions.

The flagship model comes with an upgraded AMOLED screen option, providing bright and vibrant displays. However, this feature is not available on the monochrome MIP display models, which offer larger screens and solar charging capabilities. The solar charging panel has been enhanced to provide more than five times the battery life when used in GPS mode.

Garmin’s Instinct 3 smartwatches also boast a range of features, including health and fitness tracking, GPS navigation, contactless payments, and smart notifications from your phone. The watches are water-resistant up to 10 ATM and have MIL-STD 810 military standard thermal and shock protection.

A more affordable option is the Instinct E model, which offers similar features without solar charging, a flashlight, or a metal bezel. Orders for all Instinct 3 models will open on January 10, with prices starting at $449.99 for the AMOLED model, $399.99 for the MIP Solar model, and $299.99 for the Instinct E model.
