Gaza Braces for Imminent Doom Amid Israel’s Intensified Bombing Campaign

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are sharing final messages and letters of farewell on social media as Israel escalates its carpet bombing campaign, leaving many fearing for their lives.

The past 24 hours have seen a surge in posts expressing hopelessness and despair at the severity and destructiveness of the attacks. On Thursday, at least 112 Palestinians were killed, marking the deadliest day since Israel resumed its war on Gaza on March 18.

A video posted by Nour, a woman from Gaza, shows an Israeli strike on a building near her home amidst an entirely destroyed neighborhood. The caption reads: “It seems we won’t survive this time…”

Journalist Abdallah Alattar shared: “it seems that we won’t make it this time” in a post widely circulated and reshared.

The situation in Gaza is dire, with many calling on the world to intervene and speak out against Israel’s actions. Independent US Senator Bernie Sanders attempted to block $8.8 billion worth of offensive weapons sales to Israel but failed due to lack of support.

As the conflict continues, Palestinians are using social media to share farewell messages and prayers, including one from writer Omar Hamad who said he would stop posting permanently if his words did not bring about change. Medical doctor Hamza Alsharif also warned of intensifying bombings and called on people to remember him in their prayers.

The situation in Gaza remains critical, with many fearing for their lives as Israel’s war continues to escalate.
