GE Appliances Invests $3 Billion in U.S. Manufacturing

GE Appliances is expanding its US manufacturing capabilities as part of a five-year investment plan worth $3 billion. The company will ramp up production at its Alabama plant, introducing six new models of refrigerators. Investments are also planned for Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina, with modernization improvements and automation upgrades.

The move is expected to create 1,000 jobs nationwide and solidify GE Appliances’ position as a leading US manufacturer. CEO Kevin Nolan emphasized the company’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing, stating that it will continue into the future. The $3 billion announcement marks the second-largest investment in the company’s history, following its commitment to investing heavily in US manufacturing over the past decade.
