Gemini Assistant Rolls Out for WhatsApp, Messages, Phone, and Google Home

Google is gradually releasing its Gemini Extensions for Android, starting with WhatsApp. The Gemini Extension will allow users to make calls, send messages, compose, and edit them in a more natural and conversational way. To use the extension, users must have the WhatsApp Messenger app installed.

The Gemini Extension for WhatsApp offers several features, including:

* Making calls to contacts
* Sending text messages
* Asking questions
* Composing and editing messages

Users can also ask the Gemini Assistant to call businesses and phone numbers directly. Additionally, the Gemini Extension for WhatsApp will allow users to make calls based on their conversation.

Other Gemini Extensions are rolling out for Messages, Phone, and Google Home. The Gemini Extension for Messages allows users to send text messages using their default messaging app. For Phone, the extension enables users to make phone calls using their device’s calling app.

The Google Home Gemini Extension is also available, allowing users to control smart home devices that their Google Account can access. However, some actions on security devices are not supported, and the Gemini app provides a link to the Google Home app for those features.

With these Gemini Extensions, Google aims to provide users with more conversational and natural interactions with its services.
