Genki, a US-based gaming peripheral manufacturer, has set off speculation about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console after showcasing mockups at CES 2025. However, according to a representative of Genki in an interview with Game*Spark, their products were created based on leaked information and not actual data from Nintendo.
The company admitted that they do not possess accurate information about the Switch 2’s design or compatibility with existing accessories. This comes as Nintendo has also dismissed the authenticity of images and videos related to the console.
In light of this clarification, it remains to be seen what actual details will be revealed when Nintendo officially announces the Switch 2 successor within its current fiscal year, which is set to conclude by March 2025.
