George Clooney made his Broadway debut in the play Good Night and Good Luck on April 3. However, his wife Amal Clooney was absent from the event. When asked where she was, Clooney replied with a simple “she’s with the kids.” The actor, 63, had previously joked about sitting his wife at the back of the theater to calm his pre-show jitters.
Clooney discussed his experience on Broadway in a March interview, saying that he hadn’t done it until now due to not having done the required work. He stated that being on stage is “cool” and that anyone who denies its appeal would be lying. The event was well-attended by stars like Jennifer Lopez and Hugh Jackman, despite Amal’s absence.
