Gerard Butler is reprising his role as Stoick the Vast in the live-action version of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. In an interview, Butler revealed he initially worried about wearing the intricate costume for four hours a day. However, after seeing the finished product, he was amazed by the transformation.
The costumes, hair, and makeup were considered incredible, allowing Butler to delve deeper into his character’s emotions and nuances. The actor enjoyed doing voice work but felt limited by its constraints. In contrast, playing Stoick in live-action provides more opportunities for expression.
Butler had a chance to see the real-life set of Berk village, which was breathtaking. He believes this will enhance the audience’s experience when the augmented film is released. ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ hits theaters on June 13.
