The New York Giants have improved their chances of securing the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after losing their eighth consecutive game to the Saints. The team now owns the No. 2 spot, thanks to a Jacksonville Jaguars victory over the Tennessee Titans.
With a 2-11 record, the Giants are behind only the Las Vegas Raiders in terms of strength of schedule. If they lose their final four games, they will guarantee themselves no worse than the No. 2 pick.
The Giants are in the hunt for quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, who is considered the top prospect in the draft. General manager Joe Schoen has spent time evaluating both players, with Sanders being a potential top pick. Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s father and head coach at Colorado, has expressed interest in his sons being drafted by the Raiders.
The Giants currently have seven picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, including two rounds of back-to-back picks. With their improved draft position, they are well-positioned to address their roster needs in the offseason.
