Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee marked the end of an era by rewearing her iconic colorblock dress on the show’s final day in its Times Square studio. The ABC morning show celebrated its relocation to a new studio at 7 Hudson Square after 26 years in the area.
Zee, 44, chose to bring back a piece of her fashion history by posting side-by-side photos of herself wearing the same dress from 2012 and during the June 13 broadcast. The weatherwoman captioned the post, “Left 2012, Right today,” and expressed her excitement for new memories in Hudson Square.
The show’s final day in Times Square marked the end of a 26-year tenure at the iconic location, where GMA first aired in September 1999. The June 13 broadcast featured special guests Alicia Keys and the cast of her Broadway show Hell’s Kitchen.
Ginger Zee has been open about her personal struggles during her time on GMA, including battling depression and checking into a mental health facility before joining the show. She credits therapy with changing her life and has continued to work with her therapist since then.
The Good Morning America co-anchors are saying goodbye to Times Square as they relocate to a new studio in Manhattan.
