Girl Scouts Announce Last Season for 2 Varieties in 2025

Girl Scouts of the USA has announced that this year’s cookie season will be the last time two classic varieties – Girl Scout S’mores and Toast-Yay! – are sold, starting from this week. The organization is also offering a full range of sought-after flavors, including Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites, and Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs.

According to the news release, the decision to discontinue these two flavors was part of routine reevaluation of cookie lineups for new innovations. Girl Scout S’mores were introduced in 2017, while Toast-Yay! cookies made their debut in 2021. No new cookie varieties were added this year’s season.

Girl Scouts cookie sales not only generate revenue but also support girls’ leadership, entrepreneurship, and community-building initiatives. The organization’s chief revenue officer, Wendy Lou, stated that the success of each sale is a testament to how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.

The Girl Scouts have undergone significant changes since its origins over a century ago, from home-baked cookies to modern-day online sales and local in-person purchases. Today, cookies are made by two bakeries, ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers, and sold through various channels, with prices ranging from $4 to $6 per box.
