Glove Found Near Missing Woman’s Home May Match Suspect

A glove found near the home of missing woman Nancy Guthrie appears to match the one worn by a masked man caught on video the night she disappeared in Tucson, Arizona. The FBI has confirmed that the DNA on the glove matches a male suspect.

The search for Guthrie, who was 84 and reported missing two weeks ago, is now in its third week. Police believe she was taken from her home, but have not substantiated any of the purported ransom notes sent to media outlets.

A total of 16 gloves were found during the search effort, with one glove resembling the ones seen in the video captured by a doorbell camera from Guthrie’s front porch. The FBI is analyzing the DNA on the glove and running it through its database to identify potential matches.

The investigation has been hindered by lack of progress, but a potential breakthrough emerged last week when the FBI released images of the masked man. Authorities have executed court-authorized searches in the area, but no suspects or vehicles have been identified yet.

The FBI recently doubled its reward for Guthrie’s case to $100,000. Savannah Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter and Today show co-host, has urged anyone with information about her mother’s disappearance to come forward.
