General Motors is recalling approximately 90,000 vehicles due to a faulty transmission control valve in Cadillac CT6 and Chevrolet Camaro models.
The affected vehicles include:
– 2019-2020 Cadillac CT6
– 2020-2021 Cadillac CT4
– 2020-2022 Chevrolet Camaro
These cars have a 10-speed transmission and may experience harsh shifting or wheel lock-up due to wear and tear on the valve over time. Owners will be notified of the recall by April 21.
To address the issue, dealerships will install free transmission control software updates at no additional cost to owners. Additionally, GM will reimburse owners for any out-of-pocket repairs related to the faulty valve.
Owners can contact Cadillac customer service (1-800-333-4223) or Chevrolet customer service (1-800-222-1020) for more information on the recall.
