Gmail is updating its search feature to provide more relevant results. The change aims to deliver emails that match the user’s needs in a timely manner. When you perform a search, Gmail will now factor in elements like recency, most-clicked emails, and frequent contacts.
In addition to chronological order based on keywords, the updated algorithm considers these factors to prioritize emails that are most relevant to the user’s interests. This change is expected to save users time and make it easier for them to find important information.
The new “most relevant” search results will be available to users with personal Google accounts via the web and mobile app. Users can toggle between this option and traditional “most recent” results once the update is live in their account.
