God of War Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Free Update and Merchandise

God of War is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a slew of goodies for fans. The update will include Kratos’ “Dark Odyssey” skin, which was previously only obtainable by beating the game on hard mode in 2007’s God of War II. Now, players can access it as part of a free update on March 20.

The Dark Odyssey collection includes armor, weapons, shields, and more, all with Kratos’ iconic shadowy black and gold look. However, some items will only be available for players who have upgraded their equipment to its maximum level.

In addition to the free update, Sony is releasing a wealth of merchandise, including art prints, a two-volume retrospective book, and a 13-LP soundtrack set. Fans can also expect to see a God of War exhibit at Gallery Nucleus in LA from March 15-23.

For those who don’t own all the games in the series, PlayStation Plus Premium members can claim a selection of titles for less. PC gamers can also take advantage of discounted copies of God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök on Steam.

God of War’s 20th anniversary celebration continues with exclusive goodies for fans to enjoy.
