PC gamers have a limited time to claim 13 free adult-oriented games from various platforms, including GOG, Prime Gaming, and Steam. The giveaway is part of GOG’s new FreedomToBuy initiative, aimed at raising awareness about censorship in the gaming industry.
GOG has teamed up with game publishers to offer the games for free, with no strings attached, as long as PC gamers claim them before 7:00pm CST on August 3. The selected games include titles such as Postal 2 and Agony, which have been removed from other platforms due to censorship concerns.
The giveaway is a response to the recent controversy surrounding “adult” games disappearing from digital shelves. GOG says it’s taking a stand against censorship by launching FreedomToBuy, which aims to bring awareness to the issue of creative works being erased from digital shelves.
PC gamers interested in claiming the free games can visit the FreedomToBuy site before August 3, and as long as they do so on time, they will be able to keep the games forever. Other free PC game giveaways are also available on Steam and the Epic Games Store until August 7.
