Goldman Sachs Group Inc. President John Waldron is joining the bank’s board of directors in a rare promotion. This move elevates a banker who isn’t currently in the chief executive role. Waldron will be joined by Accenture Plc’s former Chief Financial Officer KC McClure, who will become an independent director on the bank’s board. The appointment was announced by Goldman on Wednesday as part of its governance structure.
