Golf’s Future Unfolds with TGL Indoor Simulator League

Golf is set to enter a new era with the launch of Tomorrow Golf League (TGL), an indoor simulator golf league that brings together some of the biggest stars in the sport. The league will feature six four-player teams, including Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, who are among its initial and highest-profile backers.

The TGL is set to take place at the state-of-the-art SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with 15 regular-season matches scheduled for January to March. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, followed by a best-of-three finals for the championship.

The league’s unique format combines head-to-head competition in a 15-hole match with alternate shot and singles segments. Teams can earn points by winning holes or using the “hammer” to increase a hole’s value, while the team that declines the hammer controls the next application.

TGL will feature state-of-the-art technology, including 18 Full Swing radar devices and eight Top Tracer optical cameras to accurately reflect each shot. The league’s playing field is divided into two areas: a screen zone for shots outside of 50 yards and an “green zone” with synthetic features and bunkers.

The stakes are high, with the winning team gaining possession of the SoFi Cup and earning $9 million from a total purse of $21 million. With its innovative format and cutting-edge technology, TGL is poised to bring golf into a new generation and redefine the sport for the 21st century.
