Google has introduced a long-awaited feature in its Chrome browser for iOS devices, allowing users to easily switch between work and personal Google accounts on the same device. The new feature aims to simplify the process of managing multiple accounts while maintaining security.
Currently, switching between work and personal tasks often requires signing in and out with different Google Accounts on separate devices. However, this can lead to conflicts and compromised privacy.
The iOS update enables seamless account switching for managed accounts, separating browsing data related to an organization from other browsing sessions on the device. This feature also covers Chrome for iPadOS and Android’s existing Work profile feature.
Unlike desktop versions of other browsers, which offer multiple profiles or containers, mobile browsers have historically lacked this functionality. Google’s new update addresses this gap, providing a more convenient way to manage work and personal tasks on iOS devices.
