Google Adds Three-Way Calling Feature to Voice Platform

Google has introduced a new feature that enables three-way calling on its Voice platform, making it easier to add multiple people to a call. This update comes as part of a revamped in-call user interface, which is now more consistent across devices and easier to navigate.

The new feature allows users to add another person to a call with just a few taps using the “Add” button. The “Merge” button enables merging two existing calls to create a conference call. This functionality was previously absent on Google Voice.

The addition of three-way calling is part of a larger effort to refresh Google Voice’s in-call user interface, which is now displayed more simply and straightforwardly, similar to the design of the Meet app. The updated UI includes easily accessible call controls without hidden menus.

Three-way calling will be available for Google Workspace subscribers with specific plans and customers who have SIP Link. The new feature rolled out on Thursday and may take longer to appear on some devices, including computers, Android phones, iPhones, and iPads.
