Google Ads hit by major reporting glitch, exposing competitor data

Google Ads is experiencing a major problem that affects multiple tools and features, including report editors, dashboards, and saved reports in the web interface. This issue also impacts product management pages across the web, API, and Google Ads Editor.

As a result of this outage, some advertisers are seeing sensitive information about their competitors, such as unrelated item IDs, product titles, and Merchant Centre data. This raises concerns about privacy, as advertisers may be able to identify direct competitors by searching exposed product titles.

Google Ads Liaison Ginny Marvin has acknowledged the issue and is actively working on a solution. Advertisers should exercise caution when accessing their accounts until Google confirms that the problem is resolved.
