Google has confirmed its upcoming launch event, scheduled for August 20 in New York City, where it will unveil the Pixel 10 and Pixel Watch 4. The event, which is taking place just a month before Apple’s expected iPhone 17 release date, marks Google’s shift away from October’s flagship device launches.
The Pixel 10 series is anticipated to offer upgrades over last year’s models, including four new phones with improved cameras and displays. One of the key areas of focus is foldable technology, with rumors suggesting a larger cover screen and extra battery life for the Pro Fold model.
According to leaks, the Pixel Watch 4 will retain its stylish domed glass design in two sizes (41mm and 45mm) and incorporate enhanced fitness features, AI tools, and improved battery life.
Google’s upcoming launch event is also expected to showcase Android 16, featuring Material 3 Expressive design and Live Updates. The company’s emphasis on artificial intelligence with Gemini will likely be highlighted across its hardware portfolio, including new camera features that could surpass those of last year’s Pixel 8 series.
