Google is testing a feature that turns search results into an AI-generated podcast-style discussion. The experiment, available in Labs, lets users generate an Audio Overview for certain queries, such as “How do noise cancellation headphones work?” The completed Audio Overview will appear in a small player embedded within the search results, featuring two AI-hosts discussing the topic and links to sources used. This feature is currently only available in English in the US, expanding on previous placements of Audio Overviews that allow users to generate audio discussions based on notes, Gemini’s research, and more.
