Google Brings Faster File Sharing via QR Codes to Android Users

Google has rolled out a new feature to its Quick Share tool, allowing users to share files more easily and quickly with nearby Android devices. The update supports QR codes, eliminating the need for device verification or adjusting sharing settings.

With this feature, users can tap the Quick Share option in their phone’s share menu and select “Use QR code” to generate a unique code. When scanned by another Android device, the code will automatically brighten and initiate file transfer without additional steps.

The new feature is available to all Android phones with the latest update of Google Play services (24.49.33) and works seamlessly across devices. Users can share files with multiple devices at once, making it ideal for sharing event photos or documents with colleagues.

While Samsung users may be familiar with QR code-based sharing on their Galaxy devices, this feature is now available to all Android phones, thanks to Google’s update.
