The “Open” button now allows users to initiate a video edit by launching the video file in Vids, which automatically starts editing tools such as trimming, music addition, and text incorporation.
This integration aims to streamline video production within the Workspace suite, building on the company’s existing AI-powered features like Gemini, which enables video summarization. The new shortcut is activated by default, suggesting a closer connection between Vids and Google Workspace.
