Google Introduces Enhanced Results about You Tool for Easier Privacy Control

Google has introduced a revamped “Results about you” tool to help protect users’ personal information online. The new feature scans search results for sensitive data such as phone numbers, addresses, and other identifiable information, making it easier to remove or update outdated content.

The updated tool offers improved signing up process, proactive monitoring, and alerts when new results are found. Users can now request removals directly on the three-dot menu next to a result, with clear guidance on eligible content for removal.

Additionally, users can request a “refresh” of outdated search results by clicking the three dots and submitting a request. Google’s systems will then recrawl the page and update the information to reflect the latest changes. This enhanced tool aims to provide greater control over online presence and more efficient management of personal data.
