Google is adding new features to its AI assistant, Gemini, allowing users to interact with it in real-time using video from their phone’s screen or while filming a video. These features were showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2025 event in Barcelona.
A key feature, “Screenshare,” enables users to share what’s on their phone’s screen and ask questions about it, such as pairing clothing with a specific outfit. This functionality is an improvement over previous teaser ads for a similar feature announced last year.
Another innovative feature allows users to take a video and pose questions to Gemini while filming, further enhancing the interactive experience. These features will be rolled out on Android devices using the Google One AI Premium plan later this month, specifically targeting Gemini Advanced users.
