Google Migrates More Nest Cameras to Home App

Google has expanded its efforts to migrate more Nest cameras to its Google Home app, adding support for older models launched as far back as 2015. This move allows users to manage all their Nest Cams through a single app, making it easier to access and control multiple cameras.

The migration process is currently ongoing, with Google taking steps to add support for new devices. Once migrated, users can transfer camera feeds to the Google Home app, allowing them to view live video on their Pixel Watch 3 or Google TV Streamer.

However, not all Nest camera features are available in the Google Home app. The Supersight close-up tracking view is currently not accessible, and some users may need to switch back to the Nest app for specific features. Additionally, migrating a Nest Hub Max to the Google Home app will result in no going back to the original app.

For now, users can access all their Nest Cams through the Google Home app, with full support available for newer models and partial support for older devices.
